Break Cycles

Identify the negative cycles in your life. Be aware of them because the enemy will use them to pull you away from God. Seek out the causes of them in your heart and eliminate them. Pray to God for help and guidance on breaking them. Find a way to shift your perspective.

Here is just one example of a cycle. We can be inconsistent in pursuing God and serving his kingdom. There may be many reasons why, one of which is that we see the things that God asks of us as obligations or burdens.

It is a privilege to serve God! We often see serving God, going to church services, reading the Bible, praying, etc. as a burden we have to carry; an obligation we have to meet to grow closer to God. While maintaining a spirit of obedience is important, these things should be viewed as a blessings. Our perspective should be gratefulness that we get to do such things. Truly, they are more of a blessing for us than they are an obligation. We need to see the things of God and his Kingdom for what they really are, a great treasure. When we see only obligations, we drag our feet and test our willpower. When we see these things as blessing we will pursue them. This shift of perspective will help us break many bad cycles.

That is just one example and the things you experience may be different than mine and the causes too. Identify them, pray about them, and break the cycle.
